Symbolism of the Donut Form

Circular stone forms with a central opening have a long history of symbolism. The continuous circle is traditionally associated with unity, eternity, balance and the continuous cycles of life.

Similar circular forms are found in traditional Chinese bi discs and the modern Ping An Kou or “peace buckle,” which are associated with peace, safety, harmony and good fortune.

Serpentine Meaning & Properties

Serpentine, often commercially known as New Jade, is traditionally associated with spiritual awakening, meditation, ancient wisdom and energetic clearing.

In crystal traditions, Serpentine is believed to help clear blocked or stagnant energy and encourage balance throughout the chakras and energetic body. It is particularly associated with Kundalini energy, symbolised by the coiled serpent and the movement of spiritual energy from the Root Chakra toward the Crown Chakra.

Serpentine is also connected with the Heart Chakra and is traditionally associated with emotional balance, compassion, connection with nature and personal transformation.

Its name is derived from the Latin serpens, meaning “serpent”, referring to the snake-like green colouring and patterns found in many varieties of Serpentine.

With its substantial size, gentle green colouring and meaningful circular form, this is a beautiful piece for meditation, spiritual practice, display or a crystal collection.

Please note: This piece has a very small chip on its edge and has therefore been reduced from $100 to $70. As this is a natural stone, variations in colour, markings and inclusions are part of its individual character.
